At the height of fandom culture, in the year 2014, a fifteen-year-old nobody put her pen to the page.

-Or rather, her fingers to the keyboard of a cracked-screen iPod touch, leaning in close enough for her bible-thumping bastard of a dad to not notice the words she's been consuming. For if he so much as caught wind of her online drama, her schoolgirl crush on Tom Felton, or (gasp!) her search history, she would be utterly doomed.

"Raven", known better by her screen name ravenclawgurl9983, is about to write the Draco x Reader fic of a lifetime-or at least, one that will rival that of her bitchy ex-friend in algebra class.

However, as her story begins to unfold, it starts to feel less and less written by Raven...and more by someone else entirely. There's a sinister force guiding the direction of this story-and who it is may very well shock her.

Told through a series of DMs, as well as Raven's fanfiction itself, Y/N's Melancholy is a thriller centering around a group of young writers that are still figuring themselves out-and a strange being created from a swirl of teen angst, anger, and frustration.
