A year ago they had met by complete chance, and although the next meetings were far from accidental, he still felt he had no control over it all. They weren't doing anything out of the ordinary. Everything was fine, and yet there was a piece of the puzzle that did not fit, though it was impossible to determine which one.

"I didn't say you would never meet girls," he added after a moment, breaking the ringing silence, knowing he had hit a weak point. "I said you must earn my trust.
