It makes her sick, the way sadness is addicting. Sadness is familiar. It's comfortable and it's easy in the sense that it comes naturally to her. But everything else about it is hard. The way her body aches with self-hatred. The way her mind spins and spins with hopeless thoughts. The way it poisons everything she does, every relationship she has. Yet it's addicting because she knows sadness, and she knows it very well. There's a sort of comfort in that, like being home after a trip or sleeping in your own bed after being away. There's just a sense that this is where she belongs. That this is how it is supposed to be.
Love can be like that too.

Rescuing the fraile figure, they return to the jet victorious, only to find their rescue, is none other than Ana. She was barely conscious, and from clear signs, she was not there willingly. Taking her back to the tower, they try to help her, only to find that she has no memory of them, and now holding her own power. Thor wants nothing more than to destroy every single person who had hurt her, his need to protect her burning within him. The only comfort she finds is in his brother and the metal armed soldier, needing them both to protect her. ***** Being in a new place, surrounded by so many people, she felt overwhelmed, terrified that they would hurt her like the others.
