19 year old Elliot Monroe gets accepted to represent Australia on a business internship trip to LA to try change the face of business. His very shy personality lets him down and he has trouble fitting in amongst the other chosen interns. Getting noticed for this small town boy seems almost impossible. His awkward personality doesn't land him the job but when Jakob H Adams his 'Intern Buddy' hires him as his assistant for the summer Elliot soon realizes that his life is slowly changing... For the worst.
Running errands all over LA for Jakob H Adams, he bumps into his long term high school crush. Ashton Walker, he lies about his current life claiming he is now "rich" and living the "American Dream" Elliot decides to steal Jakob H Adams identity and lies to Ashton that 'Jakob H Adams' is only his business name that he is using while staying in America. Ashton believes Elliot's lies. However The fact that he has switched identities with Jakob H Adams only places him in a sticky situation.
