Tegwen Gittins nearly always stuck to the advice of minding her own business, but the one time she didn't, it nearly cost her life. A freshly made prefect, Tegwen was only making her nightly rounds through the castle when she catches her fellow peers, Newt Scamander and Leta Lestrange out of bed long past curfew. Curious as to what they were up to, she intrudes on their midnight plans and sets the two into a panic.

Years later, Tegwen is established with her own career and happily living in New York City. She believes she has everything going for her with her life finally in proper order when suddenly, Newt Scamander blows into town.
