Spare Me Over 'Til Another Year (An SMG4 AU Short Story)

There was no hope for the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. She knew this, from the moment she lost her one love. Knowing this, her decision was rather easy.

{ A couple notes:

1. Yes I took the title from the intro song that plays in Until Dawn and the Dark Pictures Anthology.
2. I've been playing the Walking Dead lately so I've really been in the mood for an apocalypse story.
3. Just so yall know, this story will not correlate with my other au AT ALL.
4. This was originally gonna be called "Let's Go To Heaven" (In reference to Kikuo's song "Tengoku He Ikou") before I decided this wasn't gonna be a one-shot story
5. Thats about it for now. As usual, this may change as I write this story.
