800 years after the fall of the modern world, humankind has been split into two races, each vying for the lost treasure known as "Sylvius." Believing this hidden oasis to be one last gift from their dying world, which they refer to as the Holy Gaia, the Vaei and Serith have been engaged in bloody warfare for centuries. To the technologically-advanced Vaei, a race which believes it was chosen by Gaia, the Serith, who are semi-nomadic desert dwellers, are a plague and a threat to their quest for Sylvius. "I was ready to kill monsters. Not people." Jurahe, a Vaei princess, has her whole perspective of the Serith change after a mission gone wrong. After being betrayed by her Father and narrowly escaping her own execution, Jurahe seeks out the help of a Serith recluse named Khamir, a man with a mysterious past who supposedly knows the secret to finding Sylvius. Despite being enemies by birth, can Jurahe convince the reluctant hermit into helping her find Sylvius to end the war, uniting humanity and restoring Gaia once more? Years ago humans were slaves to dragons and other magical creatures called Shinri. They won their freedom in a great battle and were given land to settle. 200 years later the Shinri have amassed an army to enslave the human race again. Four friends find themselves at the center of the conflict and must decide how to avoid a war or win one if necessary. (The first version of the story was a knitted webcomic by the same name. It is still available on Webtoons.com if you would like to read it. Be aware that it contains spoilers for chapters 1-20 and has far less detail than the chapter book.)
