After Rodie Rud's childhood best friend, Bailey Jones, passes in a tragic accident, she stops riding for at least over a month. She never thought she would move on and go back to riding that is until she met her current best friend, Karma Williams. Rodie has been friends with Karma ever since they were 16 and are both 19 now. Both girls run into a lot of problems when they decide to compete in all kinds of Barrel Racing shows in their area. A nasty girl, Juniper Müller, who is caught doing horrid things in order to get her way. She won't even stop herself from hurting others, as long as it helps her get her way she'll do it.

Obviously I never randomly encountered a horse but I do love horses and I hope to have one soon. I also get bullied very badly. This book is in 1st person and I definitely think you should read it. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race. This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not.
