Amphibia and Earth coexist, just without the majority of the populace knowing. The Core orders the capture of some humans to experiment on, one of them being Anne Boonchuy.

Taken at 7, she escapes at the ripe age of 13, but not without the consquences.

In addition to have a permanent connection to the blue calamity gem, she now has 3 frog spirits in her, an unintended side effect from Andrias's experiments.
