Naomi is prepared for another summer full of building her business, friendships, and soaking in the rain. Every year without fail, her small town in Florida brings enough rain to last a lifetime. Every year, she and her friends organize the fundraiser for the local homeless shelter. Every year, it's all the same. After finishing her junior year of college, Naomi expects this summer to be no different. And it proves faithful... at least for the most part. People still go crazy for her online business and her friends still treasure every drop of rain. What's different is Naomi. What were thought to be a simple slew of health concerns lead to a scary diagnosis and suddenly, all her plans for the summer don't seem so solid. She finds herself wresting with family, friendship, and God. The truth suddenly seems impossible to share with some and impossible to keep from others. There is no escape from her current reality, yet Naomi wants nothing more than to wash it all away with the rain.

In hopes of making herself feel better before dies, Charlotte decides to rekindle the broken friendship with her ex-best friend and former childhood crush, Nathan. Nathan, who she hasn't seen since their horrific fight four years ago. But she isn't going to let her fear control her. Not this time. She needs to do what's right.
