During the North American War, an organization is reborn.
The government of Amory has officially decided to bring back the Hunters, an elitist group within the government with access to unlimited resources. They have the best fighters, the best healers, the best spies and interpreters. You name it, the Hunters have it.
The only issue? It needs fresh new members.
Twenty-five hundred students aged fourteen to eighteen across Amory are randomly selected to participate in a series of tests that measures different types of strength and skill. As these tests progress, the more difficult they get and the more money the candidate receives.
Jaid Broomer isn't too thrilled about being chosen, but after making a promise to one of her most beloved mentor figures and finding out about a new addition to her family, she decides to go through with it and try her best. When she gets there, Jaid becomes submerged into a whole new world full of possibility and uncertainty.
On top of having friendship issues, homesickness, and heartwrenching feelings for a certain boy, Jaid finds herself working to accomplish a new position. One that will provide her with a life that she never dreamed of living.
