When Stacy and Bucky are finally reunited, they are no longer the same people that they were in 1935.

They didn't meet as Stacy and James. They met again as Anastasia and the Winter Soldier.

After being reminded of their short time together, she tries to help Bucky remember too. But once he does he remembers all of the lies that she told him.
