Princess Avice has been raised to rule the kingdom of Koda. She carries the title well, until she loses everything to betrayal.Her parents are dead. Her sister vanished, and overnight, she becomes a fugitive running through dense woods nobody has ever dared enter. With a heart shattered by betrayal and exhausted with grief, she encounters a strange man in these dense woods, as mysterious as the sword he owns. Fueled by rage and the desire to win back her kingdom, he becomes her only path forward.

As fate pushes her through loss, battle, and impossible choices, she unknowingly steps into something she cannot turn away from. Avice must decide what she is willing to sacrifice to avenge the death of her parents, but revenge is not the only thing calling to her.
