Aaron Lee is just your average, straight A's math geek. When his single mom lands a new job in California, Aaron is anything but thrilled, for he knows he'll hardly be out on the sandy, 100° beaches; rather, he'll be stuck in the small, cramped apartment that his mom rented studying and doing homework. But not being able to hang out at the beach proves to be the least of Aaron's problems; his first day of school at Evergreen Valley High is a disaster! Plus, he finds a magical book that transports him to a medieval alternate universe called the Kingdom of Ayrina, where everyone - including himself - has an identical twin, and he learns that he's meant to save the kingdom from destruction! Can things get any crazier?
