Seventeen | Soulmate AU | ✔
Seventeen is the age that decides who every young soul is destined to be with forever. Dating back to Neanderthals, humans have always felt this natural pull to the other half of their soul. Made to make sure that the human population is reproducing, the soulmate pull allows people to come together in harmony and have someone that understands them. They are part of each other before they decide to be, and compatible in many different ways. Sophie Foster and Keefe Sencen are frustratingly different. The only thing he's looking forward to at the moment - even as someone surrounded by popularity and as many girls as he could ever want vying for his attention - is finding his soulmate. He's been old enough to locate the other half of him for about half a year, but to no avail. When her seventeenth birthday strikes, she's dealing with more than enough. She's working towards getting a scholarship to a good college, avoiding bullies (as much as she can, anyways), and trying to scrape by under the radar with her best friend Dex at school. The moment the two's worlds collide, things spark between them. But it's when Sophie collapses that the new world they share together comes crashing down. This is a story that is unapologetically one of Sophie and Keefe's relationship, told in alternating perspectives of each. Cringily cute at times, and tragic at others, Owlmoon's SEVENTEEN follows the story of two worlds taken over by the inevitable. After Unlocked, a sokeefe Fanfiction.
Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter. Will she go after him or honor his wishes? Spoilers if you haven't read Unlocked. But if you're like me and aching to read the next book I hope this fanfic will help you with the wait. Enjoy! ~~~ She sat frozen, hardly allowing herself to breathe. Keefe was... gone? Shock paralyzed her whole body as her mind processed this thought. "No." Sophie muttered, sure she had to have gotten it wrong. This was all a misunderstanding right? Maybe she'd read it wrong... or maybe it was a joke. Yes. A joke, that's what it had to be. It had to be a joke. Cause this? Keefe leaving? Never seeing him again? If that were true... if this was real... She'd never survive the coming war. ~~~ He was so close. So close to hearing her voice. It was so simple. He could just call her name and she'd be right there. All he had to do was say her name. "Keefe!" She called frantically, racing towards him. "What is it?" Keefe asked, waiting too see what in the world could make her look so startled. "A girl dropped out of the sky!" ~~~ Ask before you copy any original characters, scenes etc. ~~ Discontinued ~~Complete
