Layla is a normal girl in college, she begins to slack off in class and the teacher realizes it. Kathy the teacher came up with a way to get Layla to work more on school and also be happy, her best friends son is from Ireland and has been having a hard time making friends that like him for him and not his money, his name is Niall, a sweet boy from Mullingar who is just looking for a friend. What happens when Layla and Niall begin writing notes to each other for months, one begins to fall but the other refuses to let themselves fall for someone they don't know.
