REAL LIFE AU (Kids aged 11-12)- Ray is they/them:
After Ray's failed suicide attempt, they are forcefully suspended from Grace Field Secondary School by their concerned mother Isabella in an effort to aid their recovery. Ray hibernates in their room for months in a deep depression. It's a summers afternoon when their loyal best-friends Norman and Emma appear at their doorstep and pull them outside into the sunshine.
