Makenna and Matt had disliked each other ever since second grade, when Matt accidentally kicked a soccer ball that hit Makenna and left her needing stitches. She thought he was reckless, and he couldn't understand why she made such a big deal about it. Their mutual dislike only grew over the years, with glares and cold shoulders becoming routine.
But by senior year, being in the same friend group forced them to spend more time together.
