Y/n is a monster hunter. Correction: she is the best monster hunter in the land. Every day, people show up asking her to take care of various mob problems: Raids, charged creepers, the occasional Wither. She never fails, always walking back home at the end of the day with her payment. 

Until one day, a mysterious figure approaches her after hours, asking her to hunt down a new type of prey.

A demon. 

Y/n accepts, eager to hunt down this new monster. But when she actually finds the demon, injured in the forest, she discovers that he's MUCH different than what she expected. Her heart starts to betray her, distracting her from her original plan. But is that such a bad thing? She decides to assist him in his journey, getting to know him along the way- all while planning the best time to take him out...

But the people who hired her are dangerous, and they don't care what- or who- gets the job done. Y/n soon finds herself caught in a mental struggle, trying to decide if she should follow this sweet demon to the place he belongs.
