Romance
This is, above all else, a story about love. Whether that love is found, lost, let go, it doesn't matter in the end. This story is a love story where love might not conquer all Anais is a woman taunted by many things; she is haunted by the eyeless ghost in her home, by the looming threat of debt and death, and by the whispers in her ear. When Blair Morrison comes to town, drunk and grief-stricken she is haunted by him as well. In the stories he shares about his love, she finds herself dreaming of a luxury she had never been allowed. The poet makes her doubt what she thinks she knows and dares her to find out exactly what she's missed. In the end. Anais will have found her first taste of love, and she will understand that it's something worth dying for. Love will lift her up, and then it will let her fall. She will die with only a taste of what could have been hers.

Tarus was never meant to live. Cursed at birth, he was born without magic-a death sentence in a world where magic means everything. His only saving grace was a divine blessing from Alios, the God of Healing, granting him immortality and the ability to heal any wound. But what should have been a gift became a curse, draining his very life force instead of restoring it. As he wishes to Uncover the truth. His path collides with hers-the daughter of the man who sits on the throne. Sharp-witted and bound by duty, she upholds her father's rule, unaware of the bloody past that secured his power. She doesn't know who Tarus really is. And neither does the king. Yet, despite the secrets and the lies, an undeniable tension grows between them-an unspoken connection neither can explain. But in a world where power is everything, and betrayal lurks in every shadow, what happens when the truth finally comes to light? A tale of magic, betrayal, divine power, and a love neither of them can afford. The balance of life and death rests in the hands of a reaper who was never meant to exist. Are you ready to uncover the truth?
