It all started with a strange dream - one of which included an almost dark reflection of himself. A very clichè one often found in books and media. However it was some sort of warning. Sonic couldn't shake the dream, meaning recognising the strange infection that had taken over Green Hills was an almost immediate thing. It didn't mean that he couldn't stop it however. Green Hills was no longer a thriving place, but a desolate waste land where pasts were now behind everyone for all the wrong reasons. Rivals teamed up to survive - as did friends and family. The warming humility of Green Hills was gone in almost an instant, all morals were merely a figment of the past. It was everybody for themselves.
