Hope Richmond is an ordinary 15 year old girl when she moves to Bannerman Road. But then when she meets Sarah Jane Smith, her whole life changes. One day she meets the Doctor who she hates, but after he leaves, she realises that she doesn't hate him after all. 
5 years later, the Doctor returns and offers Hope a trip in the TARDIS. Soon, they fall in love and become a couple, and then Hope becomes the nemesis of River Song. After a while, Hope and the Doctor marry and live a happy life, and whilst battling monsters and going through much pain, Hope sees that being shown the stars is the best thing that ever happened to her.

When she takes a sample of the rock a purple gas is released from it, it goes straight into Sarah Jane's body. At that moment the Tardis materialises and the tenth Doctor steps out of it. The Doctor doesn't figure out that Sarah Jane has been taken over until it is almost too late for both of them. After a series of unusual events Sarah Jane finds herself at home, not remembering meeting the Doctor again at all, but this time she isn't the only one left behind.
