Eynal is a highborn boy who has whatever he could need to be happy but his outlook on life plagues him at every turn, obsessed by the notion that existence is entirely pointless living in his own world void of anything remotely positive he turns a blind eye to anything that is expected of him, but forces beyond him thrust an entirely new situation upon him that he fails to navigate with his usual indifference will he adapt and change as expected? or will he find a way to cast it aside as he always has. The rulers of the Rae are shown the same visions, visions which indicate that Kiera is the only one who can save them all. Although she resents their part in her father's banishment, she knows she has no real choice but to answer their summons and provide what aid she can. Her bigger problem is figuring out exactly what to do next, since neither her visions nor theirs were clear on that.
