After an altercation with James and Victoria, Edward insists that Bella must leave Forks in order protect her, her friends and her father, Charlie. Charlie being the dad he is wouldn't let Bella simply flee the town, especially when he has no idea why. Because of this, she must lie to her dad in order for him to let her go, and the only way she can do this is to convince him she needs to go back to her mother. This is a short story written in Charlie's point of view, and goes into detail about how he felt after Bella left.
