The gods of Olympus are divided. The Olympians are slowly dying out, killed by the upstart "new generation of gods." Yutir has one goal instilled in him by the mysterious "professor." To go to the Underworld as a living soul and tear down what has separated mortals from gods for millennia. By ending the god of death, through whatever means necessary. But Iris, a female mercenary and long ago lover of Yutir has thrown a kink into the plan. Her goal of killing Yutir that is. And he's extremely willing to return the favor. Iris, the mortal, is a lithe, athletic, living weapon, trained since a young age. Yutir, the maniac, always seems to have a solution to every problem with his tactical mind, honed with years of knowledge. Roman, the god, is the god of death, having replaced the pervious administration, the Hades administration that is. It's a chase, a game of cat and mouse and violent game with the highest stakes ever seen throughout mortal and immortal history. The Underworld has hosted all sorts of games who knew the darkest game would be brought from the land of the living. Probably not anyone, mortal, god nor maniac.

"I am Brunhilde, the eldest of the 13 Valkyrie sisters and nee-". "No". Brunhilde's eyes widened in surprise as Percy glares at her with hatred and hostility. "Look here woman. I know what you are and I don't give a flying fuck, I'm not helping or going on another quest just so your lazy devine ass can sit around and do nothing. You divine beings are all the same". Her usual sea green eyes glows, like the sea beautiful yet held deadly intent. Brunhilde shivers, she was playing on thin ice and she knew it. “Look, whoever you are-” “Michael. And who are you?” he interrupted. Rude. “Michael. My name is Iris, Bonnie is indisposed at the moment, so my father sent me. I’m sure I can pass along any information so Bonnie can do whatever it is she does. How can I be of assistance?” I try to be polite as possible by putting on a sincere smile but my efforts are useless since his face is still marred with a nasty look. “Are you Hades' daughter?” He asked. “Something like that, yeah. What is the reason for your visit Michael? I know it's not to investigate the river of lost souls so what do you want?” This is how Bonnie talks right? Get down to the situation at hand. “There is a commotion in the heavens. As im sure you know, I am Zeus' right hand man so im pretty in the know of everything going on. Percy thought her life as an illegal arms dealer trying to pay for passage off the plague-ridden planet Argos was hard enough before the crime lord Medusa turned her girlfriend into stone and assigned her the deadly task of stealing the gods' Third Eye. Now she must travel into uncharted space with Medusa's main hitman hovering over her shoulder and dodge bullets from some wacked-wired androids trying to bump her off for unknown reasons. Meanwhile, Persephon -social media prince- is kidnapped from home and is captured in the Underworld where there is not only no interweb connection and no natural lighting for selfies, but also demented demon spirits that haven't been fed demigod soul in over an eon or two, and the ringmaster of this freak-show is the estranged Olympian Hades who seems to be the only creature in the galaxy that hasn't liked or reposted any of Persephon's profile pics. Elsewhere, Helen of Sparta struggles to fit in with her adopted family due to her unnatural feature-shifting abilities that the fam insists on keeping a secret. So she's really putting her antiperspirant to the test when she's set to take the throne as Ruler of Sparta to honor her mother's wishes all while putting her own dreams on pause. Heracles, meanwhile, feels like he's stuck in a high-stakes juggling game with hospital bills to pay, illegal-street racing calling his name, and his crush Megara still hating his guts; and then his luck goes from bad to worse when his android best friend introduces him to Spike, a low-key serial killer and a high-profile android racer with a reputation for never losing, or missing the next target's head who happens to be guess who? Heracles, of course. What none of the demigods know though is that their galaxies are all about to collide, new friends will be kinda made, and backs will definitely be getting stabbed.

**REVISING** The gods have no pity for humans and their impermanence. Why would they care for lives measured in years, when time marches into millennia for them? The immortals stay in their city. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. Yet, when he learns that the humans are desperate, he chooses to do a deceptively simple thing: Help them. ___________________________________ @Voyageavecmoi was kind enough to write this review of my book and she described it 100x better than I ever could lol. With her permission, I'm posting it below. Also, check out her book "Flight Risk." It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.
