In the world of Rainfall, everyone knows of the strange and terrible Beasts that roam the Fallen Forest, preying upon any who dare to venture near. But to rise and challenge the Beasts, the Banes were created, an elite group of skilled hunters and warriors tasked with killing the Beasts.
Clio is not a Bane.
Her father was a Bane. Her brothers were bother Banes. All she ever wanted was to be a Bane. But Queen Finn of Rainfall took one look at her and said 'Oh no. Not that one.' Clio wants to know why.
Clio ventures into the Fallen Forest on her own, hoping to kill a Beast and bring it's pelt back to the Queen. But the secret that Clio finds instead is far more valuable than any silly fur coat.
Now, Clio and her new friend Griffin set out to discover the truth behind the Beasts, while fighting their own that lay inside.
