Venelle Kisagame is a short, slim and mysterious gardener from the country. Her life is going nowhere until she meets Lyair Lubange, a smart, pale man with the passion for music. Venelle takes an instant disliking to Lyair and the thoughtless and greedy ways he learnt during his years in the city's. However when a reaper comes to reap Venelle, Lyair springs to the rescue. Venelle begins to notice that Lyair is rather peaceful and kind at heart. But the pressures of Lyairs job as a singer leaves him blind to Venelle's affections and Venelle takes up baking to try and distract herself. Finally, when proud Death Reaper, Lavvey Jingudler, threatens to come between them and to take Lyair back to Hell, Lyair has to act fast. But will they ever find the calming love that they deserve?

Mack was raised in the biker life. Growing up with a biker club president for a dad made him want to do something different with his life so he joined the military. When comes back he becomes his best friends VP. Eden's brother was the president of the Southern Steel motorcycle club. She has been hanging around the club since she was 8 years old. With an abusive alcoholic dad and absent mom, the club basically raised her and her brother. When Eden was young she had a crush on Mack, her brother's best friend. She realized when she got older that was a stupid childhood fantasy, and she needed to get over it. Mack would always see her as the little sister. His loss!
