He howls in pain and turns toward me, anger prominent in his eyes. He's growling constantly and seems intent on killing me. This time I attack first, running straight towards him before feinting left and jumping over him. Once I land behind him I bite into his other back leg and rip a chunk out of it, leaving both his back legs damaged and almost unable to handle his weight. He's looking at me fearfully now, sorry he underestimated me and afraid I'll kill him. Most rogues don't have the training or experience to handicap a fighter like him, but I'm not like most rogues. I stand in front of him as he just lies there. A pack wolf submitting to a rogue wolf. Something pack wolves are taught never to do.

An angry growl escaped my throat as my vision blurred. My wolf is taking control, and it's the bad one. She bit at me, growling and slashing, making me weak. I had to take a knee. But a rogue jumped in, taking my neck in its mouth and slamming me to the ground. I screamed as it bit down harder. It yelped. Looking up, Zander was on top, clawing at the rogue. He bit down, again and again, ripping chunks of skin off as loose hairs flew around. Let me out! "Ah!" I cried, "no, not like this!" I gripped the side of the rogues head and squeezed, it whined and loosened it's grip but still held on. Don't cry, Dakoda. Don't. I let out a scream just as my hands concaved the side of its head in until I felt my fingers touch. I gripped it's jaw and forced it open to the point where I ripped it in half. ____ Book two: Saving Flora
