The year 2050 is a lot different than some suspected. Well really it was since they are trying to rebuild their lives from the destruction of a virus. This virus had overwhelmed the earth and taken many souls. It has no name but most call it "The Reaper". Everywhere it goes, death follows taking people and turning them into monsters; creatures hungry for flesh. Many groups have lived through it though, two of them in a life long war called The Alternators and The Ambassadors. Once family, now torn apart from a crime committed in the beginning of what is now called hell. The Ambassadors stand as the cannibals of the world while The Alternators stand as the savors and pre-war soldiers of the world. The four ranks; Guard, Blade, Archer, and Sniper have kept themselves together for fourteen years and plan on keeping it that way. Though will the war tear them apart, destroy them all, or become a victory with a celebration of now end? "Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what.
