A mermaid in Beacon Hills. Something many wouldn't believe, even its own supernatural, and hunter, community. Mermaids were once said to be powerful sea beasts, intelligent enough to start their own kingdoms and have the unique ability to land walk. But after hundreds of years they became confused with sirens, their savage counterparts, causing them to go into deep hiding after brutal hunting of their species... Until one young mermaid, hundreds of years later, begged her parents to allow her to interact with their land walking descendants.

And so the Cordelia family allowed their only daughter, Nixie Cordelia, join the humans for her high school years. They even gave her the choice of living on land with them, if she so pleased.

Now, just months after her enrollment at Beacon Hills High, she encounters the humans' counterparts: werewolves. Along with their alpha and hunters. Can she survive human life? Especially when she had a walking headache pestering her at every opportunity named Stiles Stilinski.

Sirens in Beacon Hills

12 parts Ongoing

When I was eight, we were out on a boat in the ocean, enjoying a sunny family day. The waves lapped gently against the hull, and the salty breeze played with my hair. My dad, in his usual carefree manner, had forgotten to put a life jacket on me. I was too young to notice or care, too excited by the adventure. But then, in the blink of an eye, I lost my balance and tumbled overboard. The world became a blur of bubbles and darkness as I sank, panic gripping my small body. I had never learned to swim, and the water felt cold and unforgiving as it filled my lungs. I remember the terror, the helpless flailing. I died that day... **A Teen Wolf fan-fiction**
