The war has ended and Hogwarts has been rebuilt. The ministry was so busy with repairing all the damage that they forgot to look at population rates.
As a last minute decision, they created a new law. A Marriage Law for everyone between the ages of 16-30. The students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have been put under this law, and now they have to make a choice.
Get married or loose their magic.

Ministry of Magic decree 47207572; The Marriage Law ~All subjects have 4 months to get married and then 5 months after that to get pregnant. ~Tests have been done on all subjects between the ages of 17 and 27. ~All subjects have been matched with other Wizards/ Witches or muggle families that know of the wizarding world ~Most subjects are paired by who they will be most successful reproducing with.
