This takes place after the 2 year time-skip. Sanji and Luffy had fallen in love with each other a few months after Sanji had joined the crew. But after Kuma separated the Straw Hats in Sabaody, and Luffy had lost his brother, Portgas D. Ace during the Paramount War, he fell into a state of sadness that could only be helped by his lover and crewmate, Sanji.
