The Wolfens have long been running off of a monarchy type rule instead of a pack style rule. From the perspective of most of the royal family the world is as it should be. Their ancestors eliminating their world being run by multiple packs has been beneficial from the eyes of those who hold power in the kingdom. Every ten generations the Moon Goddess sends her spirit wolves to choose new hosts in the world and, through them, right any wrongs in the new times that may cause chaos in the future. The time is once again speculated to come in the current generation. The queen is sure her son, the only Alphablood male child known to be left in the kingdom, is to be the Alpha host and will be the one to lead the new chosen ones. But when this does not turn out to be the case, and his twin sister is chosen to be the Luna Spirit host, it causes the emotional distance in their family to expand and new secrets of their bloodline come to light. All while the new Luna host must find the other spirit wolf hosts and set up for a task to prevent a dark patch of their history from happening again and devastating the world.

He finds her, and because of her dormant wolf, he thinks she's human. Soon she goes missing, because her pack members sold her to a rogue pack. Alex searches, and searches, but cannot find her. Her wolf has to completely go dormant, because it's just causing her pain and she would died of she didn't. Alex thinks that she's dead, because he felt the connection between them break. He finds another girl to be his mate, and when Ashleigh is found, she is heartbroken. Not only was it her pack that made her suffer through all that because they sold her, but her mate had given up on her because her wolf had to go into dormancy. She falls into severe depression, and develops a form of PTSD, that was formed from the shock she had from her pack and mate's betrayal. She isn't happy anymore, and that brightness she had in her personality is gone, leaving a husk of her former self. Will her pack and mate right their terrible wrongs, and bring her back to her former glory, or will they carry on with how they are, and have her fall into a comatose like state?
