One day I got locked in a coffee store. Well since there's nothing to drink but coffee, so I just drank all the coffee in the store. Then I fell asleep. But then.... The coffee kicked in. I couldn't stop talking all fast and jumping around. I was so hyper that I threw my self through the window and glass went everywhere. I fell on the street. I stole some random persons keys and put it in their car. I started the car and started driving. Most people thought I was drinking and driving. I was running into poles, houses, other cars, and people. Soon later the police started driving after me. I began to drive in circles and I crashed the police.

We're All Going To Die
In 2015, I quit my digital marketing job at Nike to take a solo road trip around the country, funded by driving for Lyft in each of the cities I stopped in. In the beginning, I thought that driving for Lyft was simply the key to supporting the trip financially. However, I soon found that the dynamic of having strangers jump into my car to talk about life for 20 minutes or so, under the context that we would probably never speak again, was the most powerful piece of my year off. I was so inspired by my passengers that I wrote a book about them, called We're All Going to Die: Lessons Learned From My Year Road Tripping As a Lyft Driver. My passengers became my biggest teachers in what, lo and behold, turned out to be a year of personal growth and self-discovery. I learned the value of more listening and less ego. I saw how hungry people are for real human connection and conversation in a world more digitally connected and emotionally isolated than ever. I took the time to face my own issues, including my father's suicide five years earlier. I began to understand how important it is to be human - to feel your emotions, to share those feelings with others, and to find lightness and humor in the hard stuff. What became most obvious to me was that at end of the day, we're all going to die anyway. Echo of the Past
A few months ago, I bought a mug with gold gilt. On sale. Not a gift either nor because of an occasion to remember by it. Just plain, pretty mug for 15PLN. I drank my coffee from it since. I spat loose tea leaves into it. It never felt particularly significant. An ordinary object. Only when I lost it, I realised its true value. I sat comfortably at my desk one evening. Looking at my phone, I reached to take my song-text notebook. Trivial situation. My clumsy fingers were unable to avoid the mug. They allowed it to topple over, to slip from the desktop. Even though I did not see the split-second occurrence, I felt the pressure of unease. My head painted the trajectory of the fall on its own, the shattering, spillage. The loss. For a millisecond I still had hope, that I would be able to catch the mug, that I would be able to avoid what was about to happen. But I knew I was headed for failure. I don't have any superpowers. I only scalded my fingers. I looked at the mug's new shape for a long while, at the shattered pieces. At the spilling liquid. Our adventure came to an end. Irrevocably. I won't be drinking coffee from it anymore, nor spit tea leaves into it. Well. I shouldn't be sad, it was just a regular mug, just like thousands of others. I grew to like it, it kept me company throughout hundreds of warm drinks. I lost it. I hate this feeling the most. In the moment when I am losing something, I stop in my tracks, I hold my breath. It is always a very intense moment. A short one, but one that gives me the tight unpleasant feeling in my stomach. The feeling of loss is always accompanied by hope. Silly and naïve. Making me believe so strongly, that I can make it. That I will still be able to catch the mug mid-flight. I saw her and thought she beautiful and thought I could trick her into trusting me. I can get on her good side and then kill her. I walked over to her. She was so beautiful and vulnerable, she trusted me. -a week later- She trusted me enough now to invite me into her house. She told me she was going to go change in her room so I made my way over to the kitchen. She came down asking if I was hungry. "Yes I am, but not for food" " What do you mean?" I lifted the knife over my head and said " I mean I hungry for justice." and I stabbed her. It went through her chest and her heart. She was dead. Besides who needs one main women when I can have a different one under me every night, money to blow and fast cars. I'm just enjoying my time until I take my Papes place at the throne. Most nights are spent living it up with my cousins who are my only friends. However there is the one girl that has caught my eye and I don't know why. I first spotted her at a random coffee house I stepped into. Usually I'm very talkative especially when I'm trying to snag a chic but I couldn't utter a word to her. I barely managed to place my order. Now, I find myself going out of my way to stop by that coffee shop everyday. It doesn't matter that it's out of my way. The only thing that matters is that I see her. I knew I could take her if I really wanted to but I can't make myself to do it. She sees me enter and shoots me that amazing smile and prepares my order without even asking what I want, she knows. She'll offer a greeting but all I can do is nod my head. She makes me lose my word's. Deep in my mind I wonder if she could be the one that could change my mind on love and that scares me. For now I'm satisfied at seeing her for the few minutes it takes to get my coffee. Besides I'm a killer, a future mob king and she's this delicate flower that wouldn't understand my world.
