Harlee was the troubled child in her family, at school, and everywhere she set foot. The town knew her and she was not set out on the right path. She had been recognized in her life of crime and even being sent to alternative schooling twice. She's seventeen years old and doesn't know who she is or who she wants to be. Her father had passed away when she was eleven and that was hard enough. Her mother was no good and constantly drinking which took a toll on her love life when she loses control with every male she's ever crossed paths with. One day she met Zion. He was different. She wanted to change but didn't want to ditch her lifestyle. She had to fight to love him and it was always a fight for him to love her.

Carter Briggs lived a rough life. he was born into a family that was doped up constantly, and was forced away with his half sister at age two. they eventually got adopted out together, and even though his new home was full of love, it came with some pretty heavy consequences too. When Carter was in tenth grade, and his sister a senior, the couple that adopted them ended up in a nasty divorce. Carter became so broken that he promised never to get married himself, then he met HER, Torah Daniels. He fell in love almost immediately and knew she was the one; the one who changed his mind about marriage. But, with a girl like that, there are bound to be some obstacles, some more lucid than others, and it also didn't mean that carter was completely ready to give up his childish ways and become a real man. Carter is faced with two choices: he can fear everything and run, or swallow his pride and follow his new dream.
