Did you know that the reason that Maleficent curses Sleeping Beauty is for love? Or that the genie from Aladdin was a mass murderer? Or that the Big Bad Wolf wasn't so big or bad?
There are some interesting things you never knew or even thought to ask about your favorite(or least favorite) characters.
Well, since you didn't think of it, it's a good thing I did. And here's the answer to all your fairy tale needs (Or at least some of them. Hopefully at least a few. Maybe not any. But you should read it anyway, because who knows? You might have a question that you never realized you had.)
A volume containing the true events of the following fairy tales- Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and the Princess and the Pea.
These are chronicles of the true events that happened before the stories were created. Before a once upon time.

Note- My NaNoWriMo for 2012. Story is completed and fully edited! I'm so happy. *Tear*

Kilan is on the run. From men he knows all too well in a forest he does not know well enough. And running into that tree didn't help. But when he wakes up, the forests are the least of his concerns. Kilan finds he has stumbled upon a castle, hidden deep in the woods, filled with servants and young masters who feel like they might just be more then they seem. And there are the thorns. Thousands upon thousands of thorns that cover the grounds and yet only cover one tower - why? And what about the dreams? The girl in the rose room? She seems so real, almost familiar, and yet he can only see her when he sleeps within the castle walls. She isn't there and he has not the time for a Sleeping Beauty. He has other things to contend himself with, in reality - in the waking world. His most prized possession is gone. A story book that means the world to him is lost within the forests - or worse, someone has their hands on it. Above all, it must be found, he has no time for a girl in dreams and the curse placed upon her - he writes fairy tales, he does not live them. He must find the book and be away from the strange Rose Castle. But someone has already noted his presence and has taken an interest in him. An interest one would not wish for. ~~~~~~ (Please Note: These books link but it is NOT ESSENTIAL that you read them in order - they stand alone as well as link together) The Rose Quartet Reading Order: Beauty and The Beast: http://w.tt/1wczujq Sleeping Beauty The Frog Prince: http://w.tt/1KphNHL Little Red Riding Hood: http://w.tt/1PBaNbs ~~~~ Cover picture by: Selene Regener Check them out: http://selenada.deviantart.com/

A sorcerer, a genie, and an outlaw - three individuals pulled together by fate through a winding tale of magic, curses, and arrows. Jafar is in search of power. As a sorcerer with the world at his fingertips, there isn't much that Jafar wants for in life but when a long-lost relic from his past emerges once more, he will stop at nothing until it's back in his hands. Karim is in search of freedom. As a genie who has been cursed as a slave to man, granting three wishes to each of his masters for over a thousand years, it's been a long time since Karim has been able to make choices for himself. But all that is set to change when he meets one legendary outlaw. Robin Hood is in search of a way back home to Sherwood. As an outlaw and a thief, Robin is no stranger to sticky situations but when a robbery gone wrong landed him in a foreign realm a long way away from the forest he knows and loves, he's desperate for any way to get home. When a sorcerer hires Robin to retrieve a cursed oil lamp, the legendary outlaw has no choice but to accept or risk never returning home to Sherwood ever again. Three men whose lives have been long fated to intertwine collide in this epic fairytale retelling. *** An ONC 2022 submission with prompt #43: click your heels together three times and say "there's no place like home". You did just that. But where you found yourself next...it was most definitely not home
