Following the sudden, tragic loss of their mother, Lexa and Kim are determined for a new start when they move in with their aunt and uncle in the town of Starlette. Kim is looking forward to making new friends and starting a new life whilst Lexa is busy trying to find out what truly happened on the night of their mother's death. Convinced it was no accident, Lexa plays a part in a dangerous game which involves blackmail and more unanswered questions. However when she meets the Mayor's son Harrison Carter it adds to the stress of losing more people and involves more people to protect. Lexa will do whatever it take to find the truth even if it means she has to play along.

Dahlia Pickett, a 24 year old dime, had a familiar, traumatic experience at work as she is a bartender. She calls up her friend, ex-coworker Carly and pleads to go to a club and dance her pain off. Carly ends up hooking up with a girl, leaving Dahlia alone. Walking home she peers into an alleyway where a man was beating another to a pulp, her body frozen, not because of a possible murder, in reality she could care less but he sees she saw what he'd done. She was scared for herself. With her heart racing how would this man be involved with the rest of her life knowing she witnessed his crime?
