Beatrice Octavius is the fiery, slightly erratic, and witty twenty-year-old of Otto and Rosie Octavius. Beatrice follows her mother in the passion of all things English Literature, and holds a great deal of pride for her genius father, who has a big upcoming project performance. Upon meeting one of a handful of interns at Oscorp, Beatrice is drawn to Peter Parker, an awkward, big-hearted boy who seems to be the only one to keep Beatrice from bouncing off the walls. Beatrice realizes that Peter may be the only person besides her parents who understand her inside and out. Things are looking up for Beatrice until Otto's project goes wrong, leaving Beatrice abandoned and Otto turning evil.
Beatrice makes it her mission to find her father and help him get better before things get worse, but she knows she needs more help, and New York has a new vigilante dawning an unforgettable name and track record with Oscorp scientists. But when Spider-Man seems skittish in helping Beatrice, she decides it's all up to her and the gadgets her father left behind in his lab.
But how many hits can she take before it breaks her? She is only human, after all.
