The 1960s begin and the Avengers are now poised to move into their own compound just outside New York City. Still commanded by General Steve Rogers, with Colonel James Barnes and Colonel Isaiah Bradley next in the chain of command the three men continue to try to steer their organization through the politics and social issues of the day.

The problems with the serum have been mostly solved with the assistance of the Wakandans and the recruitment of suitable candidates has begun in earnest, not just from military ranks but from civilian as well.

On the home front the Barnes children are all getting older with John Barnes working through his doubts about his future with the Avengers. He also begins to explore his appeal to girls. Rebecca, a year younger, is still certain her destiny lies with Joe Rogers. The rest of the Barnes, Rogers, and Bradley children accept the 1960s as the time of greatest change for all of them. The youngest of the Barnes, River, continues to surprise her family with her observations of life.

Even though the danger of the Vietnam War was avoided other conflicts around the world still concern the government of the United States and Kate finds she must work extra hard to keep President Kennedy from escalating those conflicts.

Part 3 of an alternate universe Bucky Barnes story, using Marvel created characters and original characters.

One thing Mazzy Stark has always found peculiar is how her scraped knees always seem to heal within a few measly seconds while the other kids have scabs over their knees for several days. Her dad always says it's medicine, but Mazzy isn't so sure about that. It isn't until Mazzy is faced with a familiar metal-armed man that she begins to realize that it isn't medicine that makes her the way she is; it is a little, red star and a man with a crooked smile. • ⚠️ This book has mature themes, like anything else you might see in a typical Marvel movie.⚠️ Updates set in Captain America: Civil War.
