The Move

I woke with a jolt at the sound of my alarm clock... 5AM! I stare and growled in disbelief and then wondered why I even chose to move.

Yes it was moving day. To be completely honest I looked forward to it, until the clock sounded. I lived in Cairns, Qld, Australia. It was tropical and warm.

My room was a typical teenage room, large with pictures of friends covered on one of my walls, a queen bed in the centre against another and a large mirror behind my dressing table across from my bed.

I sat up and felt my long and thick brown hair tickle my back, rubbed my bright green eyes and looked in my mirror. My skin was really tanned like I had been out in the sun too long and my lips were always a pale pink colour.

"Ceilia!" Mum called and I ignored.
"Ceilia kate Thomas!" Once again she yelled and I ignored.
The sound of large feet came slowly up the stairs and then a small knock was heard against my door and my door
slowly opened.
"Celly?" Dad whispered.
I knew then it was real.
