Death has set its icy grip upon the land of Norway. Man and beast alike share the struggle of trying to survive this winter. Each day, Revna and the rest of Orneklanen fight so that their bellies may have enough food to see the light of tomorrow. Tensions between the rival clan, Hjort Klan, are not making matters any easier. Accusations of theft and dishonor have sent tempers boiling on both sides. In an attempt to save her people, Revna sets out beyond her clan's borders in search of resources. While on her quest, Revna stumbles upon a secret portal to a strange island. There on that island lies Fenrir, the God of wolves and son of Loki, bound and chained as foretold. At first, Revna is terrified and unsure of the legendary monster. However, as time goes by, a friendship forms between the unlikely pair. After a shocking murder sends the clans into battle, the warrior and the God make a choice that will save one and doom the other. The fate of the clans and country lies between a hand and a paw.

A retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, a story of fate, the struggle for power, and love found in the most unexpected places. ***** Persephone has been raised in Olympus all her life - her mother absent, her father a cruel king, with her siblings teaching her all they know. She has seen all of what the gods and goddesses do and she is sick of it. When she learns her safety is threatened by staying in Olympus, she flees to the Underworld. There she stays until she learns that her leaving has caused the world to wilt. But leaving behind her newfound friends and Lady of the Underworld is something she will not do willingly, no matter the consequences.
