About three months after Order 66, small insurgent groups pop up around the galaxy to defy the Galactic Empire. One insurgent group, an extremist group to that, destroys the home of Kenith Ortega. The young boy then sets out to the Imperial academy to become a stormtrooper and kill the ones who took his peaceful life from him.

Kaia loves the Empire and is blind to any of its faults but as time goes by and she is stationed on Mandolore where a certain rebel cell is active slowly her eyes are opened. And when doubts arise in her mind she finally understands the danger she's in. Will her loyalty to the empire falter or will she remain ever the loyal servant? Ryn Alera has only known slavery throughout her life. The last place she expected to find help was with the Empire.
