Alex Russo is to be the new king of his fathers mafia which is the Italian mafia. He has to have an arranged marriage with a girl of his choosing so he chooses the girl he fell in love with a long time ago. Her name is Ella.
Ella Harrison is also in a mafia which is the English mafia with her parents but is not supposed to take over, one of her brothers is to take over. Her parents and Alex's parents inform her of the arranged marriage and she gets mad not because she didn't want to marry she just hated that her parents waited until the week before to tell her about the marriage. She convinced herself to never tell Alex how she felt and acted like she only likes him as a friend but realized that she should tell him she's in love with him.
