Descent

Fear sometimes is irrational. Makes no sense... you shake it off, or you give in and bolt back inside after throwing the trash out as fast as you can.

Or, you get a therapist and chalk it up to insanity, because, well, shadow people.

The brain thinks it's funny that way, always playing tricks on you.

You may have a light tap on the shoulder from a ghost or two... maybe a whisper against your ear, or just an ominous weight across your shoulders that disappears when you turn to see what's there..

You may just be paranoid, cold, tired, or hungry, forgot to take your meds, etc...

Or...

You may get dragged through darkness into a whole other world.

Interesting how that works. Funny that way.
