The keystone fragment acted up moments after the Auditor reclaimed it. At first it looked like just another odd glitch that comes with being a line of code, but when a spiky red echidna falls out of it, it becomes something much more.

METAL SONIC AND THE DIGITAL ODYSSEY (Metal Sonic X SMG4)
(Disclaimer: This story is rated 18 and up, in the use of drugs, strong language, a massive amount of violence, blood, and possible sex scenes. I do not own Sonic and any of the SMG4 characters. They belong to SEGA, SMG4 himself, Nintendo, and Glitch Productions.) =================================== During the day that Sonic was crowned as king, Eggman attacked Mobotropolis with a full on invasion to take down the Freedom Fighters. Eggman planed to use the Phantom Ruby to banish Sonic and his friends to another dimension, making sure they stay there and never return. After a long fight with Metal Sonic, as both he and Metal became super, Sonic was defeated but Eggman pulled the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic and Metal Sonic before the robot hedgehog could deliver the final blow. Eggman disowned Metal and called him useless before firing the cannon. But Metal chose to take the Chaos Emeralds when the portal became unstable and turned into a black hole. While grabbing the Ruby, Metal Sonic sacrificed himself to save the world, making everyone believe him to be gone... However, they did not know that he was sent to an alternate dimension, where he would begin his new life becoming a hero in the SMG4 universe, proving he will be a better hero than Sonic.
Sonic and the Multiverse
One day when Sonic and his friends decided to pay a visit to their enemy Dr.Eggman turns out it was all a trap. Eggman has built a vortex to other universes in attempt to look for other energy or powers to try to harness and use to take over the world. But something goes wrong. The machine malfunctions, causing everything around it to get sucked in. Eggman escapes and Sonic's friends go after him. Sonic on the other hand starts getting sucked into the portal, he tries to escape but fails and is going across the multiverse trying to find his way back home. This'll be the biggest adventure of his life, meeting new friends, discovering new universes, new foes, might end up having to save the multiverse. ¿Will Sonic succeed? Only one way to find out. Don't worry about breaking reality, you can always make yourself a new one, or several, and improve the energy efficiency of the electromagnetic spectrum in the process. Shadow and Knuckles have been dating for a while. And during that time, they haven't kissed once. Mainly because the echidna didn't really know how or what to expect.
