Centuries ago a battle between three races had begun, Angels, Fallen Angels and Devils, this conflict was dubbed the "Great War" between the three biblical factions. During this event a rift between space-time opened from thin air, out came a warrior into the battlefield. Joining to defeat this knight was the Factions priority, alas it turned to be futile.

All sides suffered major casualties with two of them losing their respective leaders. Ever since then the three factions made a treaty for peace and the legendary knight left never to be seen again, becoming a myth to history.

A normal day for the city of Kuoh and its residents with students walking to arrive at the academy in time, chatting with one another about anything they could think of. 

Although all of that would change when a new figure stepped inside the school grounds, attracting much attention towards him by the students and staff because of his mysterious appearance, however more by some peculiar groups of devils.

Who is this mysterious person? and why is he here in Kuoh?
