James and Elise, a couple driven to the brink by tragedy and loss, struggle to come to terms with their past and a life they'll never know. Desperate to salvage something from the crumbling wreck of their marriage they move to Porth Kerensa seeking refuge in the white house. Their search for the space and time to rebuild leads them to a home filled with secrets. What should be a new start in an idyllic setting quickly takes a sinister twist and it soon becomes apparent that it's not just their marriage they are fighting to save. The White House has been placed in the R category by Wattpad because it has adult language in it and deals with issues such as a suicide attempt and domestic abuse. I could have censored it to please Wattpad and the impressionable teenagers on here, but I truly feel that it would lose something fundamental to the story if I did. My loyal readers will know that any difficult subjects will be dealt with sensitively and maturely. When the locked to R chapters are posted I will ask Wattpad to reassess the rating. Thank you for your patience.
