Thor and Dean Odinson's joy in fatherhood is short-lived when Wanda reveals herself to be far more broken than anyone could have imagined. Distraught and heartbroken over her loss, she has immersed herself within the power of the Darkhold. Driven to carry out unspeakable acts of atrocity in the name of her lost family, her machinations attract the attention of Doctor Strange and the Avengers. Drawn into battle with a Wanda that he no longer recognizes, everything Dean holds dear- his marriage, family, and faith in others- will be tested.

And new revelations will be unveiled.

Everything is about to change.

In the aftermath of Malekith's assault on all of the realms, Thor has made Midgard his primary home. In the midst of tragedy, his relationship with Dean further develops and the Avengers learn of the whereabouts of a missing object of vast power- the scepter Loki had wielded during his invasion of Midgard. Stolen by Hydra, an organization bent on world domination, the scepter has been used in their experiments on human test subjects. This forever alters twins Wanda and Pietro Maximoff- powerful, vengeful figures who hold Tony Stark and the Avengers responsible for the tragic losses they've suffered. Propelled by the traumas he has endured, Tony Stark uses the recovered scepter to develop a program called Ultron- designed to keep the world safe and ensure world peace. The plan goes horribly astray when Ultron becomes entirely sentient, finds and joins forces with Wanda and Pietro Maximoff and the three set out to tear the team apart and remake the world as they wish it. A world without Avengers. This is a retelling of Avengers: Age of Ultron. It is not intended to be a mirror image of the film. It is my adaptation. It features a homosexual relationship between Thor and an original male character. Don't read it if that's offensive to you. I do not own the Avengers. After returning from Asgard, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Dean Allen stays busy to keep his mind off of wondering when Thor will return. But when a very familiar enemy arrives on earth and steals an object of vast comic power, the safety of the earth is challenged. Loki's aspiration to enslave earth with an army from the far reaches of space spurs S.H.I.E.L.D. to enact the Avengers Initiative. But will this team come together...or be torn apart? Note: this is a reimagining of the first Avengers film. While there will definitely be a lot of similarities between this work and the film, there will also be departures. I've done my best to maintain the general spirit of the film while also putting a spin on things to keep it interesting. Also, Thor and the main character are in a homosexual relationship. If that's not your thing consider this a heads up. I do not own any of the Marvel Comics characters, just the original characters created for this story.
