I recommend reading the first two parts before this! After only two weeks into the anthro takeover, things have gone right and wrong on both sides. Emma, Cody, Eric, and many more human and engine survivors have fought to escape to a safe haven within the Biltmore estate and village in North Carolina. However, with tension between new and old faces slowly arising, everyone will inevitably have to face the war in order to survive, or at least make it out while staying themselves, physically and mentally. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, June and her friends and family just fighting to stay alive slowly begin to realize they're more important than they think. As not long after, they're forced back into battle to help continue their part in bringing about the end of the human race. However, many don't realize at first that they have more in common than they think. All they know is that many of those they've been acquainted with will likely make it out alive or as themselves. Now it's up to them to partner with their new and old friends and equate one another as allies against powerful forces in order to protect themselves, and all they ever cared about before it's too late. I recommend you be 13 years or older to read this story. ALSO, DO NOT STEAL ANY OF THE OC CHARACTERS (but I do confess that there are some characters that I don't own and I'd like to apologize to those owners that I didn't credit you all😬). By 2057, Earth will be a shadow of its former self. Decades of unbridled consumption and climate negligence have left the earth almost desolate. Water, oil, and lush land are relics of the past, valued more than money. All nations have collapsed under the weight of famine, disease, and internal upheaval, leaving only two superpowers: the United States and Russia. They were once reluctant allies but now find themselves embroiled in a deadly, global fight for the planet's few remaining resources. While the population fights to survive in enormous urban wastelands, both regimes use advanced technologies and covert tactics in a desperate push for absolute dominion. During the pandemonium, 17-year-old Caleb Morrow, a scrappy survivor from the ruins of Canada, is conscripted into the US military. Meanwhile, on the other side, Elena Morozova, an 18-year-old Russian conscript hailing from the ruins of Norway, ascends the ranks in the Russian military. As this conflict between the 2 last countries left spirals out of control, the past suddenly begins to rise from the ashes leaving questions to arise in the thoughts of many soldiers on both sides including Caleb and Elena that, if answered, reveals a dark and unsettling truth. Scarcity is a story of curiosity, critical thinking, corruption, and trust in a collapsing world. Make sure to keep your rifle tight as you explore a dark truth... *This story includes mature themes such as: war crimes and heavy violence* *Perspectives will continuously shift between characters in this story* *All pictures are not real sketches*

War. War never changes. When atomic fire consumed the earth, those who survived did so in great, underground vaults. When they opened, their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, form new tribes. As decades passed, what had been the American southwest united beneath the flag of the New California Republic, or NCR, dedicated to old-world values of democracy and the rule of law. As the NCR grew, so did its needs. Scouts spread east, seeking territory and wealth, in the dry and merciless expanse of the Mojave desert. They returned with tales of a city untouched by the warheads that had scorched the rest of the world, and a great wall spanning the Colorado River. The NCR mobilized its army and set it east to occupy the Hoover Dam, and restore it to working condition. But across the Colorado, another society had arisen under a different flag. A vast army of slaves, forged in the conquest of 86 tribes: Caesar's Legion. Four years have passed since the NCR held the dam - just barely - against the Legion's onslaught. The Legion did not retreat. Across the river, they gathered strength. Campfires burned, training drums beat. Through it all, the New Vegas Strip has stayed open for business under the control of its mysterious overseer, Mr. House, and his army of rehabilitated tribals and police robots. Dallas is a courier, hired by the Mojave Express, to deliver a package to the New Vegas Strip. What seemed like a simple delivery job has taken a turn... for the worse

What happens when two heavily interconnected societies suddenly go to war out of nowhere? What happens when that war lasts for over 6 years? What happens when one side of the war is completely cut off from their home world? Kalimaria is a planet that was discovered a long time ago. Through ancient portal technology the planet was discovered by humans and earth. The inhabitants of this planet were a race of anthropomorphic alien creatures that resembled what most people in the modern age call "anthros" or "furries." Humanity, despite everything, managed to coexist and even integrate this highly intelligent alien species into our society and also help bolster the Kalimarian world's own technological advancements. For over 80 years the two species coexisted with only minor skirmishes between humans and Kalimarians occurring. That is until the war happened. A war that many question the true motives behind. Was it to protect the sovereignty of the Kalimarian species and its people? Was it to gain power and influence over people of the planet? This no one could truly answer. The war however started and all of humanity on that planet was stuck there as the portals that once allowed free travel between the two worlds was shut down. Scott Caine, a once proud member of the U.S. Army was now stuck here with the forces that had been cutoff from earth and the United States. A young man who had been forced to do things he shouldn't have had to do. A man given little choice in what life brought him.

Follow the story of Orion as he confronts his past and future in a grim hellscape of a wasteland decades after the Courier's victory at Hoover Dam sent the Mojave into chaos. My Philosophy behind the writing of this story: So, this is my first time writing a story, since the 6th grade at least. You can tell by how much I improve the formatting past chapter 10 lol. Anway, I think many people found DUST's loony edgyness to be a negative. And I get it, despite my love for the mod, I can see why people might think it's childishly bleak even if it explains why things are the way they are well. So with that being said, one day I was listening to the Jeff the Killer episode of Creepcast in the shower. And in it, they mention that A. It's very edgy, and B. It's cold open kinda falls flat. Immediately, my mind turned to DUST, it too is over the top edgy with a cold open. That gave me the idea; could I write a better cold opening than this old internet creepypasta? So I did (i will at least give myself that), which then made me think about the first point; could I write a story that's over the top edgy, but still had a good narrative? That's what made the character of Orion, the protagonist. My main inspirations for him were the Red Dead series , The Ghoul from the tv show, and interestingly; Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. If you're familiar with any of these, you've probably noticed that they all have edgy, or at least hyper self serious aspects to them. But they are also self critical of those elements. This story aims to do that; tell a badass flashy story that takes itself seriously, while also making sure to show it's flaws, without making a flawed narrative. And in the end, create a tale of hope prospering in the darkest places of the world. If you enjoy the bleakness of DUST or even the original fallouts, I think you'll enjoy this story. And if you enjoy the campier and more inspiring aspects of the bethesda titles, I think you'll also enjoy this story.
