What if McGee suddenly became a single father, and had to raise Morgan, his 12 year old daughter? I wrote this when I was 14, and I just decided to revise and start posting it, so please don't judge lol Disclaimer: I don't own any characters in NCIS, including McGee, Morgan, Gibbs, Bishop, Ducky, Torres, DiNozzo, Vance, Johnny, Delilah, or any other characters that you may recognize from the show. There are some characters that were introduced in NCIS this season that weren't introduced when I wrote this a couple years ago (you'll see). Trigger: There is death and characters do suffer traumatic events!! I'll try not to make it too heavy though.

Shannon and Kelly weren't the only ones meant to die. Ten-year-old Delilah Gibbs - stolen during Witness Protection and erased from every record - survives years in captivity before escaping into the hands of NCIS. Broken, silent, and terrified of touch, she has no memory of her past... only nightmares. When Gibbs learns the truth, the world he buried comes roaring back, and nothing will stop him from protecting the child he thought he lost - not the government conspiracy that hid her, not the men who want her back, and not even his own guilt. Trauma. Healing. Found family. Gibbs as a father again. Some secrets aren't meant to stay buried. Warnings: child trafficking, PTSD, panic attacks, medical trauma, SA references (non-graphic), comfort & recovery focus
